I’m Here, Everybody Knows I’m Here

Clifton Chenier from I’m Here:

I’m Here mp3

  • This is the season for driving with the windows down, and Zydeco is one of the 3 types of music optimal for driving with the windows down - along with (2) 40’s and 50’s C&W (like maybe Hanks Williams or Snow) and (3) Led Zeppelin.
  • The photo is the second large overturned truck I have seen on Nashville Pike near the new construction of Vietnam Veterans Blvd.
  • I am pretty sure that I know what to do about funding the Iraq war, about Fredo Gonzales, and about Gitmo. However, I am just perplexed about immigration legislation.
  • I am also perplexed about this blog - I am kinda tired of it, want to start something new, don’t post much, but can’t quite let it go. I’m sure there are songs about that sentiment, but I can’t think of one. So I’m here.
  • Fredo - it’s time to roll down the windows and drive off into the sunset - until you’re indicted for something.

If you start something new just let me know. The immigration thing really is a tough call. After our trip to Peru last August I have no doubt why so many in Latin America will do whatever it takes to get the USA.
