God Bless Us All

This is Billie Holiday’s song, but this recording has none of the angst of Billie’s recordings - of course it doesn’t have her voice, and no one’s singing the lyrics. Really has as much in common with Bolero. The first time I heard it made me think of Ramsey Lewis playing "The In Crowd" on pop radio when I was a kid. But this became one of my favorite pieces of music. Because the cut is so long and the file so large, I compressed it a bit.
Standards, Vol. 1 with Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock, Jack DeJohnette
